Sweet New Pinocchio Kidada

Surprise! The Disney Store Online today released the 9"/Jr Kidada we have been waiting for since last year's D23.

An LE 500, this set comes with a colorful 9" featuring Pinocchio having fun at Pleasure Island, a Junior Jiminy Cricket and a pin. It retails for $74.95 and is available online as well as the North Michigan Avenue Disney Store in Chicago, Times Square Disney Store in Manhattan and the Walt Disney Studio Store in Burbank.

The back of the 9" is delicious with donkey Pinocchio inside Monstro's mouth.

The Junior Jiminy has a great facial expression as he is watching Pinocchio. The pin reads "Official Conscience, 18KT". A nice touch.

The box, as with all Kidada's, is simply brilliant. A colorful design with quotes and such that ads as much to the figure as the design itself.

The back of the box reinvents the way 9"s SHOULD be packaged! A window in the back gives collector's a look at the whole design. And the way it's done, with the curtain, is fantastic. I have never purchased a Kidada yet, but this one I hit "add to cart" as soon as it loaded onto the screen. One of the best overall designs I have ever seen on a 9" Vinylmation, toss in the Jr, pin and packaging... and this is one of the instant standouts of 2012.

So Tasty!?????

Today there were a lot of secrets in the Events page on vinylmation.com. One more tidbit we found is this:
The only thing we actually know will be that the set? figure? will be at Disney Stores on June 4th and will cost $11.95 each.

What could this be? We've had a lot of treat type vinylmation, Smore's, Chocolate Mickey, ect. Could this be a Greatest Hits collection of the best food vinyl? (Sorta like Weird Al's best food album)
Could it be a reference to another Kidada? She always seems to like the yummy theme.
How about the Romantic Treats set from Japan? Those seem "yummy" and the "romantic" part never seemed to translate well for us.

Or maybe something completely new!

Peter Pan's expensive flight into NYC

The Playwright was in NYC today and found Kidada's Peter Pan on the shelves. He did note, however, that the price is regular at the store but is cheaper at the online store. (Almost half price!)

Update: 11/5/11 When we asked Kidada4Disney why Jiminy doesn't get candy. She responded: "Because he is the voice of reason." Wow, this combo makes more sense than we thought.

After the release of the Peter Pan Kidada, we finally get a chance to see the concept art for the Kidada that was teased at D23 back in August. This piece features Pinocchio on the 9" and Jiminy Cricket appears to be on a Jr (thanks VMKingdom). According to vinylmation.com this piece will be available in early 2012. The price of the last set was $74.95 and it was a LE of 1500, but it was with a 3" not a Jr. You can still get them at the disneystore.com so I wonder is the production run number will come down so there's more demand. The first 9" Kidada sold out instantly with a run of 500.

It looks like Jiminy is on a figure with no candy (poor guy, Tinker Bell got a candy bar) and it looks like he might come with a hat! Coolness....

I guess a Jr makes more sense size-wise, which I've always said I wish they'd pay attention too. So yey!

Kidada 9/3 Ice Cream Sundae Release

Update: 10/31/11 The Vinylmation is still available, and people have been asking about the LE 1500 Never Grow Up Tee Shirt. There appears to be some L and XL still available here.

Update: 10/31/11 at 3:36am EST - At about 3:30am EST / Midnight Pacific, the Kidada 9/3 Ice Cream Sundae went up for sale at the Disney Store Online. Here is the link.

It is LE 1500 and retails for $74.95. And with the SHIPTODAY code, this qualifies for free shipping! It is not predicted to sell out too soon, so we will keep an eye on this online exclusive to see what happens. Did you pick one up?

The Kidada figure should go up for sale at DisneyStore.com Midnight Pacific on October 31.

The Kidada 9/3 combo featuring Peter Pan and Tinkerbell did not release online on Sunday 10/30 as expected. But both Kidada and the Disney Store tweeted out responses. At about 2pm EST @Kidada4Disney tweeted this: "yooooo! the release date got pushed vinyl seekers. 10/31 midnight. BIG APOLOGIES to those who stayed up late!!" A couple hours later @DisneyStore sent this tweet to us in response to our inquiry: "Great news! The new limited edition Vinylmation by Kidada Jones will be available online, tomorrow! Have A Magical Day!"

October 30: New Kidada 9" Ice Cream Sundae!

Update: 10/23/11 Kidada announced that there will also be a separately sold t-shirt that comes out the day after the vinylmation. Here's a look at it. The shirt will have a LE of 1500 just like the vinyl.
It's official! The new Kidada 9/3 combo featuring Peter Pan and Tinkerbell will be released exclusively online at the DisneyStore.com on October 30. This combo is an LE 1,500, so a good deal more of these than the first one to go around. It will retail for $74.95. If you remember, the original leaked images of this figure were found on the UK Disney Store Online website. But this release seems like a US Disney Store Online release according to the link on the official Disney Vinylmation blog. No word at this time if part of the 1,500 figures will be available to the UK.

The 9" is an Ice Cream Sundae design with the 3" being Tink on a partially unwrapped candy bar.

The back of the ear says "Never Grow Up."

On the back, there is also a quote from the movie.

As with the first Kidada, this one comes in a brilliantly designed box. It looks like a candy shop and has "nutrition info" on the side panel.

1st Kidada still at NY Disney Store

According to Stitch Kingdom, the original LE 9" Kidada from earlier this year is still available on shelves at the New York Times Square Disney Store (along with the Goth Cutesters Like You 9"). Weird....

New Kidada 9/3 Combo Pictures Leaked

It is called 9" Ice Cream Sundae with 3" Chocolate bar. It looks fantastic! No other details at this time. What do you think? Now, this figure does not match up with the tease we saw at D23:

ZoMG: New Wish-A-Littles at D23

The countdown to D23 is on! These past few weeks Disney has been giving us sneak previews at what we can expect to see at the D23 Expo. This is all so exciting. The first Expo in 2009 was SO much fun. I can’t wait to see what Disney has in store for us this year!

Today I found out from my good friends over at Destination Vinylmation that Kidada Jones will be on hand at the D23 Expo on Sunday August 21st at 1pm to sign and take photos with guests, as well as debut the new fall Wish-A-Littles.

I cannot contain my excitement. As you have seen in some of my past posts, I am a HUGE Kidada fan. I was so excited when I heard about this collaboration with the Disney Store, and now we are finding out there is even more to come!!

The last set of Wish-A-Littles that were released were, Snow White, Cinderella, Tiana, and Belle. Now, the next set of Wish-A-Littles that are going to make their debut at D23 are, Ariel, Tinkerbell, Alice and Jasmine. These figures look incredible. They go perfectly with the previously released Princesses. I am so happy that Kidada decided to include Ariel – since after all she is my favorite. I will have to personally thank her at the Expo!

Here are some photos of the new Wish-A-Littles

	Ariel My favorite. I love the way she designed this one. They all have that cute look like they are laughing and I love the small details she added to Ariel, like the flower in her hair. I will definitely purchase this Wish-A-Little at the Expo and maybe even have her sign it!
	Tinkerbell I love how her classic green dress fits perfectly on this mold. She looks adorable.
	Alice Now Alice is not an official Princess but we will let her slide because she looks so darn cute! I love the bow in her hair, this turned out perfect!
	Jasmine I love the colors on this one, especially the details on her headband and earrings. She looks beautiful.

Inside each Kidada Wish-A-Little there is a charm necklace. I can’t wait to see what each girl will have inside. Maybe Ariel will have a shell, Tinkerbell could have a wand, Alice could have the white rabbit, or maybe the eat me/drink me bottles; Jasmine could have the lamp or maybe even her kitty raja. The possibilities are endless.

I will be there in line to meet Kidada at 1pm; hopefully I will see you guys there!

I can’t wait to see what else will be available from the Wish-A-Little line when it debuts at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California next week August 21st.

Kidada's Sweet 9" In Hand

DV Reporter Zoe was nice enough to take these pictures for us. Check out the front. She says it's "even better in person". It does look pretty sweet.

Here's our first real look at the back side. Kinda of strange as Minnie is thru the hole on the front, but on the back she's also thru the hole. The only other really noticeable part of the back is the Life is Sweet in the ear.

Here's a look at the charm bracelet that came with the piece. It's a bow. Not quite big enough to wear though, I thought it might come with a matching piece for the buyer to have.

And here's the bottom. Check out the cool giraffe design Kidada uses for her symbol. She also uses her full name on the bottom, "Kidada Jones".

What do you think of this vinylmation now that we have seen it in full? Worth the rush? There were only 500 total, and the online store sold out of them in about an hour. The stores only seem to have about a dozen each in them, and I'm sure most of them are gone (we know Santa Monica is sold out).

ZoMG: Kidada Disney Store Release- Santa Monica

When I went to get my Kidada vinylmation, I was the first person in line so they let me help open up the store with this Disney Store magic key! Very fun! :) (I love this key!) (Evil Shadow Zoe opens the store, Ed.) I don't think enough people knew about the release. A couple of more people came and they sold out. They only had 12 of the 9" figures! So cute!! Kidada Disney Store Release- NYC Edition

Our reader, The Playwright, was at the Times Square NYC store for the opening of the Kidada section of the Disney Store. Here are some pictures that were taken from the trip.

The first floor looks like it is still under construction, but as the sign says, "There's plenty of Magic upstairs."

This is the 9" box from the front. We've seen this image a lot, but it still retains the "New Flavor" starburst.

Here's the back of the box. Kidada's logo is interesting. It's got a Giraffe as a central part of it.

Check out the side of the Kidada 9" piece. Lots of fun details about the production including this Nutrition Label.
That's right, this piece covers 100% of your daily allowance for Girly Fun, Vinyl Perfection, as well as the Vitamins C(ollective), D(elicious), and A(dorable)!

Taken thru the box, this is the Artist's Card. (So these still have them, I wonder how long it will take to completely stop them)

The 9" was on display with Kidada's other recently released items, the Wish-a-Littles.
