Music and Food Festival

Over at the DisneyStore.com they are having a Buy One Get One sale of So Tasty and Tunes vinylmation. Just pick up 2 and the second one will be free. The sale lasts from now until August 26th at 11:59 PM PST. For all the details see the image from the website below.

I understand the sale on Tunes, they have been around a while. But So Tasty feels like it just came out, especially on the heels of the Comic Con Exclusives. Maybe that experience has left a bad taste in their mouths. Will you be picking any up with this sale?

Donald and Dale Rock Out June 1st

According to the vinylmation.com blog, the long awaited completion of the Tunes set is nearing. Both Donald and Dale will be available at both D-Streets (WDW and DLR). Each one will be $9.95. Now Nick can finally get the Rock Donald he's been waiting for!

Release News Update

Just a few news & notes:

The commemorative New York Giants Super Bowl Vinylmation is now available at D-Street Orlando. We originally thought this would be an online exclusive. Thank you Disney for tossing this in my face as I walk into my favorite store. Any word if these are in D-Street California?

We originally reported that D-Street Orlando did not get the 3" Easter Bunny on March 9th. Now we are hearing they received about 50 and sold out with in hours and now expect another shipment. While at WDW today, I did find a few on the Polynesian shelves, but in not other resort or the Magic Kingdom. DLR seems to still have plenty in stock.

An assortment of DCL figures were expected at DisneyStore.com on March 9th... they never docked. Now Disney says a new date of arrival is TBA.

And as noted in a previous article today, the Tunes series (minus Donald and Dale) will be available at D-Streets starting March 23.

Disney Tunes Create Music with D-Streets

Originally, they were only available in Disney Stores, but on March 23rd the Tunes collection will be headed for D-Streets Florida and California. Well, the four that we've actually seen so far. Donald and Dale are still missing. Daisy, Goofy, Mickey, and Stitch will all be open boxed and cost $12.95 each.

Quick note: The price is as reported from the vinylmation.com. Originally these figures cost $9.95. The box has $9.95 printed on it, so I think it might be a typo on Disney's part.

Disney Store Tunes Vinylmation Explained

Update: 02/20/12 Four of six figures released today. Stitch, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy. Thanks to Vinylmation Kingdom for the picture of the yet to be released Donald figure.


Update: 01/28/12 February 20th release date set for Country Daisy, Disco Goofy, Classical Mickey and Punk Rock Stitch. Classic Rock Donald and 80's Dale will be out at a future date yet to be determined.


Update: 01/11/12 Picture of Classical Music Mickey released!

Looks amazing in my opinion! That face is classic! And i really like the use of body to put the music sheet stand. The music notes in the ears are a perfect touch. The conductor wand looks too much like Fairy Godmother's though for my taste.


Update: 12/29/11 Pics of the actual Dale and Goofy figures were released below. Also, the list in the previous update of the other 4 characters has been confirmed by Disney.


Update: 12/23/11 Vinylmation Kingdom and Stitch Kingdom are reporting more figures that will be available in this series. Country Music Daisy, Classical Music Mickey, Classic Rock Donald and Punk Rock Stitch. No concept art available for those figures yet.

12/22/11 Today the vinylmation.com blog revealed a new series we are tentatively calling "Tunes" and it seems it might be a Disney Store exclusive (based on the the file name including DSTunes).

It seems to have Disney characters dressed in the attire of various music styles from a myriad of time periods. First up is Dale dressed in 80s wear and Goofy dressed as a cast member of Saturday Night Fever.

	Punk Rock Stitch Mohawk. Spike dog collar. His facial expression. Amazing figure.
Picture from Vinylmation Kingdom	Classic Rock Donald After wondering the direction on this one, they decided to go England classic rock. Love what we see.
	Country Daisy The hat is priceless. The outfit is very old school country girl. This is diffently no Taylor or Mirranda. The face is a little weird, but I like the artist trying new things with the duck bills.
	Classical Mickey Perfect. The use of the baton and the stand in front of him give this figure a lot of character. Hopefully they make his baton a little less "fairy godmother" light blue. And I hope he has tails on!
	80s Dale This guy looks a little confused as to just what he's representing. Is it the 80s colors? The Walkman? The fingerless gloves? The sweat bands? There is a whole lot going on here. After update: The headphone accessory is radical! And check out the totally tubular detail on the cassette Walkman! This figure is too legit to quit.
	Disco Goofy I love this one. Disco balls in both the ears. An obvious big hair accessory! I love the suit too. After Update: The hair does look similar to Spooky Series and the disco balls look amazing!

Illegal Song Download

Looks like a Disney Store in California may have leaked Disney Store Tunes Vinylmation out early.

An eBay seller from Mission Viejo, CA has Country Daisy and Classical Mickey up for sale. Seller reports they are "in hand." These pictures sure look like they do. I love daisy's hat and her outfit looks very colorful.

Disney Store Tunes is due out tomorrow, February 20. And don't forget about the 25% off all items sale going on that ends tomorrow!

Delays and Releases at the Disney Store

Disney's Vinylmation website today has announced the Disney Store 25th Light Up series will be delayed indefinitely. It was originally scheduled for a January 30th release. We know the product is sitting in the backs of some Disney Stores around the country... does this point to a possible production quality issue?

Also, Disney Store Tunes will hit stores on February 20th! All figures except Classic Rock Donald and 80's Dale.

Vinylmation Speculation: Rumored Release Dates

Disney Mozart has done some digging and has come up with some, as of yet unannounced, release dates for some upcoming Disney Store Vinylmation. These dates seem to appear on the store CM's schedules, but not on the Disney Vinylmation website. So again, we are just calling them rumor at this point.

January 29th

Just in time for Spring Training, we may see the MLB teams figures released. We know of 8 teams on the first wave roster (details). We were told at the Florida Project that all designs will be available at the theme parks and online, Disney Mozart is speculating on two things here based on his research... 1. The teams might only be released in their respective regions inside the Disney Stores. 2. Only the newly redesigned Disney Stores may be carrying these.

February 10th

The fourth set in the Cutesters series "At the Beach" should drop this day into the stores.

February 20th

I'm very excited about this set. Disney Store Tunes looks very well designed. According to Disney Mozart, we may see this in late February.

March 9th

We don't know much about Urban 9. Just a sheep and toaster shown to us at The Florida Project, but Disney Mozart says we may see this series in March. I find this surprising. March is about when we should see Park 8 and I thought they would like Park catch up to Urban before the 9s came out.
