Update: 5/10/12 Tomorrow this series will come out in D-Street stores. The combo pack will also be available tomorrow.

	Fly Quick call Jeff Goldblum, there’s a fly about. Kinda freaky but still cool, I like the eyes. Great use of clear ears too.
	Snake A detailed snake with a Hidden Mickey painted onto a red background. Looks kinda like a California King Snake, but the marking seem just a little off.
	Western Gangster Absolutely LOVE the cowboy hat. Looking good with the handkerchief over the face. I hope this one has a lot of grit and detail to it in person.
	Red Dragon A little plain for my taste. Also reminiscent of the Chinese Zodiac set. Here is a description from Penguin: "Chinese Guardian Lion or better known but incorrectly as a Foo Dog (some sort of lion like creature, of oriental style) perhaps Chi Lin?" Pic from themagickitschdom.com
	Power Up Great idea with the power symbol in the body and the circuit design in the head. I hope in person the symbol has a glow to it and the back must be more detailed with cool surprises and maybe Disney related patterns.
	Lagoon Monster Perfect scary face. I want to see a cool tail, but he already has the claws for hands.
	Maori Businessman Thanks to Penguin for the title and everyone for the "Maori" description. That is what this appears to be. I so love the mash up between the tattooed face and the business suit here. It's so odd, I like it like I like Pink Zombie Bunny.
	Elephant Kid What? I can't wait to really find out what this is and have an artist's explanation. It appears to be a kid in an elephant costume with (Mickey Ear Hat-like) Elephant hat with trunk and ears.
	Chandelier The design fits well onto the mold, but at least in concept art, I'm not sure if I can be into this one.
	Sheep Artist: Maria Clapsis Since Cutesters became themed, designs like this enter the Urban realm. I really like this design. The little tufts of cotton and the horns in the ears are drawn very well. Pic from Vinylmation Exchange
	Toaster Artist: TBA An extremely simple but very  cool design. The toast popping through the clear ears is just plain brilliant use of canvas. I also like the Vinylmation logo at the bottom.

Releases and Prices Confirmed/Announced

May 4th at D-Streets will be the Nightmare Before Christmas 9/3/Jr set. It is LE 2000 with a $74.95 retail price tag.

Also on May 4th on Vinylmation Facebook Store beginning at Noon EST the Brave set will be available for $39.00.

May 11th Urban 9 is a confirmed D-Street release. The price, $9.95. The combo topper will also be out.

On May 18th Disney Character Star Wars gets released at Darth's Maul, the merchandise tent at Star Wars Weekend in Disney's Hollywood Studios. It looks like a Disneyland release will wait until later.

Also on May 18th at both D-Streets the Brave set will be released.

As we assumed, May 25th will be the release of the Phineas and Ferb figures at both D-Streets and the Disney Store.

May 28th will see the release of the Brave set at Disney Stores. The 25th anniversary light up set will also be released this day at Disney Store. We also have word about the Sorcerer Mickey and base purchase with purchase. Here is the exact wording from Disney:

"Get a free 3-inch Sorcerer Mickey Light Up Vinylmation figure with the purchase of a full tray of the 3-inch 25th Anniversary Vinylmation Series. While supplies last. Limit two (2) trays with free Sorcerer Mickey Light Up per Guest."

Nice to see that giveaway.

So Tasty is June 4th at Disney Stores for $11.95.

And Villains 3 gets a release date! It will be June 18th at Disney Stores for $9.95.

Urban 9 Variant 2: Shorn Sheep

Another variant has appeared after the Gold figure we mentioned earlier. It's the Shorn Sheep. We found this picture on the Vinylmation Exchange website. It looks great and makes the non variant figure even more interesting to me. I would really like to see both in my set. What do you think about all these variants?

Urban 9 Variant- Gold Kitsune

Over at themagickitschdom they uncovered the first known variant for the Urban 9 series. Check it out above. It's a gold version of the red kitsune-ish figure. I kinda like it in Gold. Thanks again for the pics Magic Kitschdom!

Spoiler- Urban 9 Chaser Found

The guys over at vinylmationkingdom.com found a picture on the internet that seems to be of the Urban 9 chaser. (Click on the picture above to look at it). According to them Juan Chan found this picture.

We are not sure where this picture came from so it should technically be a "rumor".

MC thinks it looks like someone took Mickey and squeezed him from the middle and then pulled up a little, The thing everyone is calling a spoon is actually just empty space, with his legs being long and skinny to either side of the gray.

What do you think of the design. Lots of interesting concepts (including a neck!) Does this bring back more artistic designs to Urban, or is it just too weird?

Disney Store Rumors

The Playwright sent a few Disney Store Vinylmation related rumors our way today. Check it out, and remember, these are only rumors from one particular Disney Store.

1. Robots 2 will be released at Disney Stores on Friday with a special sale that includes Pop Vinyls. Something like buy a number of vinyls and get a Pop Vinyl for free.

2. Urbans will be back in Disney Stores this month with Urban 9.

3. The first Jrs set being sold at Disney Stores with the Snow White and Seven Dwarf Jrs.

Urban 9 Release Date & Signing: May 11

We are inferring a lot of release dates off the Vinylmation Blog today based on other announcements. It appears May 11 should be the date we see the 9th installment of the Urban series in stores.

You can see the full lineup on our Urban 9 explained page. May 11 is also a Trading Night for Pins and Vinylmation at Walt Disney World's Contemporary Resort Fantasia Ballroom G from 6p-9p where there will also be an artist signing of Urban 9 Series and Urban 9 Combo pack with Disney Design Group Artists, Thomas Scott, Caley Hicks, Maria Clapsis, Casey Jones, and Billy Davis. Urban 9 Leaked

Looks like pictures of Urban 9 have leaked out onto the web. Vinylnation, just moments ago, posted this:

This image shows concept art of the set of 11, no chaser. Of note here: The two bugs we saw on Vinylmation's Facebook show up in this set. We already knew about Ram and Toaster. What the heck is the painted face dude in the suit? Not in a bad way at all, I love it!, but I'd be surprised if that's not a Thomas Scott creation.

They also posted some production shots of the combo topper and a couple of the figures.

I'd say a nice variety of objects and characters here. We will break down this set soon, but in the meantime, leave your thoughts. My first thought... In the episode we just released last night (ep. 063)... MC's podcast prediction was right!!! Was he the mysterious person who sent these around the net? Don't forget to see Urban 9 Explained for production shots of Ram and Toaster.

A Look at Urban 9

2 Urban 9s were on display at The Florida Project. No word on release date for these.



A sheep is one of our first peaks inside Urban 9. It has horns in the ears and hoofs painted onto the feet.



Lots of ways to enjoy Vinylmation for breakfast now. Here is a toaster, Vinylmation brand, with clear ears and toast flying out the top. it's a simple design, but looks really good.
