Blank & Bow Create Your Owns On Sale Now

Yesterday, a 2-pack of blank white Create Your Own Vinylmation went on sale at D-Streets. It is based on Blank & Bow from "Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story." While Blank is obviously no different than the normal Mickey CYO, Bow marks the first time a Minnie platform CYO has become available to guests.

The 2-pack retails for $16.95, which is actually cheaper than purchasing two separate CYOs and is the only way to get the Minnie.

Seems like Japan custom artists have a new toy...

It appears that Junior Create Your Own figures are on sale at Japan stores. Thank you to Cole for this picture. I know many artists just paint over already designed figures and can pick up cheap Jrs at the outlets. So let us know... are these needed in the hobby by artists?

CYO Vinylmation 95 Lightning McQueen

Update 6/13/12 We have a price point for the CYO Vinylmation 95. It will be $39.95 according to the Disney Vinylmation Events page.

On June 15th, a Create Your Own version of the new 9" Lightning shaped Vinylmation will release at WDW and DLR.

Unbelievable eBay Auction

I need to preface this article with the fact that I am in no way endorsing this listing, but I think it is so absurd, I need to share it with you. Also a thank you to Kevin for showing it to us. A seller from Hawaii has listed what he calls in the item description "The FIRST Disney Vinylmation Ever." It is a 3" blank white create your own sealed in a clear plastic bag.

As you can see, it has an official Walt Disney World price sticker and bar code. I did know CYOs were officially the first Vinylmation release but apparently, and I admit I did not know this, the first release of CYOs were not in boxes in the stores, but in clear bags at the November 2008 Festival of the Masters. (If a reader can verify this info, I'd appreciate it)

If that is true, this vinyl, in fact, is part of a first run of Vinylmation released to the public and therefore does hold a special place in Vinylmation history. In my opinion it would also hold a certain value to collectors. Especially if you consider that, most likely, very few guests kept these in the sealed bags. But I wouldn't think the value is as high as this seller would like it to be.

Starting bid is $5,000! With a buy it now at 10 grand. A bit over zealous in my humble opinion... but I also thought $500+ for a variant was a bit high as well. Do you agree this may in fact be a part of Vinylmation history? What would you pay or trade to add this to your collection? I do not fault the seller for reaching for the stars here. I mean if someone bites, that's a heck of a return on investment. You may as well give it a try, but I'd be more than shocked if it sells at this price. New 9" CYO: Covered in Mickeys

On the heels of the brick pattern CYO comes this interesting 9" covered in Mickeys. The price is $42.95 and it will be released at D-Street on the February 10th, 2012. What do you think of these new CYOs? I'm not really sure why this is a thing. The bricks made more sense then this. What can you create with this.

Vinylmation in the Disney Outlet Store

Lots of fun sales at the Disney Outlet Store, just north of Buena Vista Drive on the East side of I4. Everything is 75% off! Two designs of Oh! Mickey. Lots of 3" CYOs for under $2.00. (No white though) They also had those smaller series posters for less than $5.00! I got several magnets for $0.75 each. Great sale if you like either of them. They also have a mystery trade box of 15 and a clear trade box for trading. (Although I dot think there is anything cool inside it.)
