OCVinylDon from the Vinylmation Traders Facebook group shared a photo of some pins previewed at Friday's Disneyland trade night. This pin set is Vinylmation Jr. Series 9: Star Wars Droids. It has a mix of droids from the Star Wars movies as well as the Star Tours attraction and Disney Parks. We fully expect to see this in actual Vinylmation form soon as well. The pin blind bags will be released in May at Star Wars Weekends for $29.95.

Popcorns Vinylmation Pin Set

This Mystery Pin Set features the designs from Vinylmation Popcorns series. Each box contains two of ten randomly selected pins. The retail price is $16.95 per box and will be available at DLR and WDW on March 28, 2013. It does not look like the Dumbo or Mickey variants will be included.

Park Starz Pinz 11/8

On November 8th, Disney will release a Mystery Collection of Vinylmation Park Starz pins. The set will contain 17 total pins. Each box contains 1 of 11 "Revealed" pins and 1 of 6 "Mystery" pins and will have a retail price of $32.95. Mean at $16.48 a pin, they are just about as expensive as the actual figures that came in a blind tin for $18.95!

The 6 mystery pins should be: Small World Boy & Goat, and then the variants for the Bride, Yeti, Abe, Squid and Figment. Check out OnceUponAPin.com for more on these and other Disney Pins.

Duffy, Disneyland and... Color Blocks? June 29th

We were originally told Duffy the Disney Bear would not be hitting D-Streets until July 6, however that date has been moved up to June 29th. Both the sailor and flocked version will be on shelves and retail for $14.95 each.

While both coasts get the release this day, only Disneyland will have a signing with artist Monty Maldovan. The signing will take place from 1pm-3pm at Treasures of Paradise inside Disney's California Adventure. Also from 1p-3p, Disney Design Group artist Quynh Kimball will be signing at Disneyland's D-Street.

All this is part of a larger event called Gear Up for Adventure... where a slew of pins (no vinyls) will be released that morning at Downtown Disney, along with artists signings. Then that night, at the Paradise Pier Hotel, a Free Disneyland Pin and Vinylmation trading event will be held from 7pm-10pm. Monty and Quynh will also be on hand there to sign vinyls and pins.

Another interesting spin to this day, is the release of the "Color Block Series". Not sure what this is yet, but it is listed in Disney's Events calendar as an open edition retailing for $12.95 a piece. This will be released at both D-Streets.

Introducing a new podcast dedicated to Disney Pins. Each show, we will run down the latest Disney Pin release calendar. We decided to break the releases down by locations such as WDW/DLR shared pins, WDW exclusives, DLR exclusives, Disneyland Paris, Disney Soda Fountain and more.

The releases are followed by a calendar of events (trading, merchandise and signings). We will of course cover the latest pin news as well. This is were we will preview upcoming merchandise and review pins that just hit stores. Most shows will also include a feature section. In the first episode, we reviewed the Star Wars Weekend pins.

If you collect Disney Pins, and would like all the information delivered in a fast paced, entertaining format, I think you will enjoy this new show. As with Destination Vinylmation, we of course need your help to collect all the info. So you will be a big part of the show as well. We plan on a 30-60 minute episode every other week. Mystery Urban 6 Vinylmation Pins Could Point to Future Figures

Thank you to Devin for pointing out a new Jumbo Vinylmation Pin he found on eBay. It's an Urban 6 design and is the Mystery Chaser in the pin set. It is a Limited Edition of 250.

Vinylmation 3D Pins: Big Eyes, Cutesters, Wall-E and Eve

The Disney Pins site has announced some new Vinylmation 3D pin sets that feature designs from previously released Vinylmation sets. All four of these pin sets will be released on April 4th at WDW and DLR. No edition sizes has been announced.

If you missed the Vinylmation set the first time around, pick up this Wall-E and Eve pin set. 

This set will retail for $19.95.

This Big Eyes set features Mickey, Mike Wazowski and Pluto.

With so many condiment sets hanging around the D-Street shelves for so long, I am surprised they turned this into a pin set. This set will only have Ketchup and Mustard, so we may see two more sets in the future.
