Belle and the Beast
Caley Hicks
$29.95
LE 1500
Beautiful. Just like the rest of mystery box set.

Classic Minnie Mouse
Eric Caszett
$17.95
LE 2000
Wonderful mixing of the platforms with a "Minnie" body on a "Mickey" head.

Donald's Better Self
Thomas Scott
$29.95
LE 2000
LOVE the way Thomas did the halo. Clear accessory that actually "floats" above the head.

D23 Expo 2013 Logo
Caley Hicks
$16.95 each
LE 2000
Well, the updated photos shows that these are clear instead of solid. They also have the event logo on the back as expected. I like the fact they are clear. No word yet on how each of the three are distributed numbers wise, but they are blind boxed so you will not know what color you are getting.

Monsters University
Ron Cohee
$29.95
LE 1500
After seeing the movie and the other figures in the set, I appreciate these as a wonderful extension of the set in order to add more frats and sororities.

Paul Bunyan and Ox
Ron Cohee
$29.95
LE 1000
Mr. Cohee can do no wrong on a 3" Mickey shaped canvas.

Silly Symphony
Thomas Scott
$29.95
LE 1000
I should not have watched the short online. I know want these. The turn around shots confirm that they are wonderful works of art.

Donald Duck Popcorns!

The second series of Popcorns is almost upon us and it appears Donald Duck will lead the charge.
This figure is set to be released on August 9th. A few interesting notes... it will be an LE of 2500. Will all future Popcorns be an LE? Or is this a variant Donald? Only variants from series one had an LE. We did know there would be a Donald in Popcorns series 2, it was told to us by Disney and we saw his concept art on the boxes from series one. And this product shot does look a little different to me, so a variant is a possibility.
It will also retail for $19.95. Originally Popcorns were priced at $24.95, then went on sale online for $5 around Christmas, then settled in at $19.95 online and in the parks. So that is a welcome change. I love the look of the above Donald and Maria Clapsis is credited with the design. Doug Strayer was credited with all of series one. One final note, we do still expect to see a Stitch and Frankenweenie as part of this second series.

Updated 01/07/13 We have turned this page into the Explained page for the 2013 Poster Art Series. Meaning this page will be updated with all the release info for each month's figure and artist signing. The calendar is the order of release for this figures, so the info below is correct. Scroll down to find the February release information.

The 2013 Walt Disney World Poster Art Calendar was just (December '12) released ($19.95) and it reveals what should be the order of release for the 2013 figures shown off at Mickey's Circus.
This set really intrigues me. The artwork, not only on the figures, but on the posters is phenomenal. Each month, a new set of merchandise (pins, vinyls, iPhone cases, etc...) will be released with a similar overall design. The really great thing about the calendar, is it has perforated lines on the tops and bottoms of the posters each month so they can be removed for framing very easily. Here is a look at the posters, the artists, the corresponding Vinylmation and the order they should appear.

DECEMBER 2012
Oswald is the the only abnormality. Although he appears on the December 2012 page, he has yet to be released. Stay tuned for details.

Zip on down for Rescue Rangers #2

Looks like me know more about the Disney Afternoons line. The second set inspired buy the show Rescue Rangers will be hitting the internet and D-Street stores on August 16th. The set will cost $29.95, it be a LE of 1500, and is designed by Maria Clapsis and Monty Maldovan. And now for the big news, it will be a three figure set (two 3" and a Jr) containing the characters Monterey Jack, Gadget Hackwrench, and Zipper.
This is what I love to see from Disney Afternoons. Perfect! Now all we need is for Gadget to have a wrnech accessory!

What do you think of this set?

Park Starz 2 Photoshoot

Park Starz is my favorite Vinylmation series. So it was exceptionally fun to take Park Starz 2 around Walt Disney World for some photos. Here is what we came up with this time.
