Did Uncle Sam Loose His Hat?

Update 10:32am Picture from Vinylmation World (@vinylmationworl) who is in line at D-Street Orlando confirms hat.

So weird the DisneyStore.com actual box picture shows him hatless. I just figured it was off his head and to the side in the box.
----
Today is a giant release day in Vinylmation and one of those releases is a 3 inch Thomas Scott designed Uncle Sam figure. It is $16.95 and available both online and at D-Streets... but it is not without a little mystery that will surely get resolved with D-Street opens up in Orlando shortly.

In the picture released on the Disney Parks Blog months ago and the turn around view in the vault, Uncle Sam has his traditional stovepipe hat:
However online, not only does the picture present this figure without a hat, the description specifically notes he does not have one:
"Three cheers for the red, white and blue on our Vinylmation Holiday Series 3'' Figure. This starry salute to Independence Day 2012 depicts Uncle Sam with mouse ears in place of his traditional stovepipe hat."

I really hope that exclusion is NOT the case. The hat is the perfect and necessary accessory in this case. Now, DisneyStore.com is not always the most reliable source for information, so we are contacting the artist to find out. And if you pick up an Uncle Sam this morning, please let us know! The packaging is great. As long as they make the boxes look this nice, I actually do enjoy these over the tins so you can display your figure inside and stack up the boxes.
