Cruising to Alaska... Disney Style

The Disney Cruise Line has another Vinylmation in it's family. This one is celebrating the inaugural trip to Alaska for the Disney Wonder. It is designed by Maria Clapsis and is LE 2500. Thanks to Brad for these great pictures.

As you can see, it comes packaged in a commemorative box.
The figure looks like a totem pole. It has Mickey on top and Pluto in the body. The colors are spectacular and it has that wood grain look to it.

On the back, those great colors continue. In the head, you can see the Disney Cruise Lines logo. In the body, the figure reads "Inaugural Alaska Sailings 2011" and Disney Cruise Line. I like the detail in the ankle area and the markings on the arms.
As you saw, it comes in a box, so you get the cardboard stand to display the figure on. The box has the DCL logo. I still don't understand the placement for the price tag you see in the back if the designer wants you use this as a display... peel it off and the residue is still there.

What do you think of this new DCL piece? Are you going on a DCL cruise? Looking forward to picking up some Vinylmation on your trip? Let us know what the buying and trading experience is like aboard the Dream, Magic and Wonder.
