Florida Project One of a Kind RSP

Bring some extra cash to Sunday's Vinylmation day at The Florida Project... there are some amazing one of a kind customs by great Disney artists.

Rapunzel by Adrianne Draude

This take on the Tangled princess uses her hair to avoid the chubby effect. The lanterns in the ears are a beautiful touch. And the box she comes in is adorned with the family's sun sign.

Tiki Bird by Quynh Kimball

With the feet painted like a wooden bar, it appears the Tiki Bird is perched upon it. No plastic Sam the Eagle tail for this one, it's a cool feather tail. He even included a ring, similar to what you see the Tiki Birds perched upon inside the show. The Enchanted Tiki Room was special to Walt Disney, and this is a special custom that truly fits the theme of The Florida Project.

Colorful Mickey by Betsy

This is just an intricate, colorful design. This artist made a similar piece for the opening of D-Street Orlando.

Fort Wilderness by Alex Maher

As a kid, our summer vacations were spent in Florida. And when we were lucky enough to go to Walt Disney World, we stayed at Fort Wilderness. After talking to Alex Maher, I know he has a special appreciation for Disney history, and he did this figure justice. With the furry coon skin cap and rifle in hand, Mickey looks perfect.

Alex told us how the hat has a very real Disney connection. Fess Parker, who played Davy Crockett, owns a vineyard and sells coon skin hat wine bottle toppers. This hat is from Fess' vineyard. The jacket is hand sewn and fitted perfectly to the vinyl. (He probably won't like me saying, but his wife gave him a hand with the sewing.) The box is also a hand painted specialty.

Contemporary Hotel Mural by Monty Maldovan

Mary Blair was a brilliant artist. Her style was so unique. She created the mural we all enjoy inside the contemporary resort. Monty captured the essence of her work in this vinyl. On the front is a girl. On the back is a boy. Both represent characters found on the mural. He used the ears to insert little things found through the wall, like the iconic five-legged goat.

Unicorn by Maria Clapsis

All I can say is Maria likes unicorns and we like Maria. This figure really stands out with a beautiful color scheme, a horn on top and wings, not painted... but attached onto the back. And it comes in and open window box with a rainbow.
